Veteran BC Cabinet Minister Mary Polak Joins Maple Leaf Strategies

Vancouver, BC  – Maple Leaf Strategies is pleased to announce that former BC Cabinet Minister, Mary Polak, is joining its expert team as a Maple Leaf Strategic Advisor. Mary will assist clients nationwide with her extensive experience in public policy and elected politics.

For the past 15 years, Mary served as the Member of the British Columbia Legislative Assembly for Langley. As a Cabinet Minister, Mary served capably in numerous portfolios, including Minister of Health, Environment, Transportation and Infrastructure, Aboriginal Relations and Reconciliation, Children and Family Development, and Minister of Healthy Living and Sport.

She also served on several key Cabinet Committees, including Treasury Board, The LNG Working Group, The Climate Change Working Group, and The Environment & Land Use Committee.

While in opposition from 2017 to 2020, Mary served as the Opposition House Leader and was a key spokesperson for the Opposition Caucus.

Before becoming active in provincial politics, Mary worked in the public opinion research industry. The combination of her skills in understanding public opinion and her time as an elected official gives her a unique perspective.
