Ian Faris

Ian Faris is a seasoned government and public relations executive with extensive experience working with clients, stakeholders and governments. Skilled in building consensus and forming strategic alliances, he has successfully led campaigns advocating for key public policy goals.

As a Strategic Advisor in the Maple Leaf Strategies Ottawa office, Ian delivers government relations, stakeholder relations and communications services to clients, across all levels of government.

Formerly President and CEO of Brewers Association of Canada and President and CEO of the Ottawa Board of Trade, Ian has led dynamic teams in the public policy arena. In addition, he has was Senior VP at the Canadian Chamber of Commerce and Hill & Knowlton, specializing in government relations, member relations and stakeholder management.

Ian has had notable careers in both the corporate sector and as an advisor to two Federal Cabinet Ministers.

Born and raised in British Columbia, Ian is a Queen’s University graduate and a recipient of the King Charles III Coronation Medal, the Sovereign’s Medal for Volunteers and the Order of Ottawa.
