Emily Peckham is a seasoned public affairs professional with over 10 years of experience in government relations, public policy, and stakeholder engagement. Known for her strategic, results-driven approach, Emily aligns client goals with the complexities of the political landscape.

Throughout her career, she has held key positions that highlight her expertise in advancing public affairs initiatives through persuasive communication and effective advocacy. Emily excels in crafting compelling narratives and advocacy materials, ensuring that client priorities are effectively communicated to stakeholders.

Before joining Maple Leaf Strategies, Emily served in several senior roles within the Alberta government — including as Senior Policy Advisor to the Deputy Premier and Minister of Public Safety and Emergency Services; Assistant to the Premier, where she supported high-level stakeholder engagement and government coordination; Communications Advisor, where she shaped strategic messaging and executive speechwriting for the Premier of Alberta; and Senior Press Secretary and spokesperson for the Minister of Education.

She partners with clients to define objectives, develop strategic approaches, and articulate key messages that effectively engage and persuade stakeholders. Emily excels at the intersection of politics, policy, and public impact, and is known for her commitment to outcomes, integrity, and hands-on problem-solving.

At Maple Leaf Strategies, Emily works with clients in British Columbia and Alberta to design and implement tailored government relations strategies that advance their interests, communicate their value, and deliver measurable impact. She holds a Bachelor of Education from the University of Alberta and has pursued graduate studies in Community Engagement and Political Change at the University of British Columbia.
