John joined Maple Leaf Strategies after completing a J.D. at the Georgetown University Law Center and a Master in Economic Law at Sciences Po Paris, where he was an editor of the Sciences Po Law Review.
In his role as a consultant, he supports the team with research, analysis, project organization and implementation.
In law school, John spent his summers at Freshfields Bruckhaus Deringer and Reed Smith in London, where he worked on three $140 million-plus deals, and at Ernst & Young in Lyon, where he advised foreign companies on French market entry and labour law.
Prior to law school, John worked for successful companies in the real estate and energy sectors in B.C. where he developed the technical and practical skills needed to effectively assist clients from a variety of sectors. He also gained first-hand understanding of the many issues facing business managers and investors.
John’s volunteer service has included pro bono legal aid and work with several charities. He is a director of the Sciences Po Paris Alumni Association of Canada, and continues to provide pro bono legal aid to the less fortunate.
John speaks French fluently, and also holds a B.A. in Business Administration from the Trinity Western University School of Business
