Before joining Maple Leaf Strategies, she worked for the Ontario Government for more than three years. At Queen’s Park, she worked for two Ministers of Energy, dealing with various stakeholders, ranging from power generators and large consumers to professional organizations, in addition to acquiring an understanding of Northern Ontario. Throughout this experience and while being involved in numerous provincial and federal campaigns, Carys has gained knowledge of the legislative and political decision-making process.
With a passion for helping local communities, Carys currently sits on the St. Michael’s Hospital Youth Leaders Board in Toronto in addition to other causes she is involved in.
Prior to working in government, after graduating from Neuchatel Junior College in Switzerland, Carys completed her Honours Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science from New York University and the University of Toronto.
